Hi! I’m Lindsay and I’m a graphic designer living and working on the Gold Coast, Australia.

Inspiration: Found in everything I open my mind to.

Interests: Typography, branding, advertising, original poster art, swiss design, old movies, new music, good books, home-style cooking, lazy days with the girls, weekends with the family, being spontaneous!

Philosophy: A designer is a mix of experience, skill and raw talent. A good designer uses these to communicate an idea in a clear yet interesting or unexpected manner.

Travels: Australia is my home. Lived in Switzerland for one year. Have been lucky enough to also experience Germany, Austria, Czech Republic, Italy, France, Liechtenstein, Singapore and Indonesia.

Achievements:

• Griffith Award for Academic Excellence 2008, 2009, 2010
• Published in Gold Coast Creative magazine, 2010
• Published in Griffith University’s 2011 International Calendar
• Past member of the Australian Graphic Design Association (AGDA)
• Member of the We Heart Collective

Instead of explaining what kind of designer I am I think I’ll tell you what I know:
A stale mind is a useless one.
You should never stop learning. Ever.
Inspiration comes from experience.
Mistakes are lessons learnt.
Be clever, not ostentatious.
Variety makes life more interesting.
People don’t write enough letters.
When you’re stressed or in doubt about something, bake a cake!
